Soldotna Rotary Club challenges area Rotarians to provide socks to those experiencing homelessness or near homelessness by collecting socks through the month of October.
Homelessness and near homelessness are issues that matter to Soldotna Rotarians. They are active in Project Homeless Connect, and they support the Kenai Peninsula Continuum of Care through service. 2020 has been a difficult year for many, and this winter was looking dire for individuals experiencing housing crisis during the COVID19 pandemic. Past President Lara took it upon herself to challenge all Rotarians to collect socks for this population with the winning Club getting recognition and bragging rights. As October comes to a close, Soldotna Rotary is eager to see if they get to say that they won this challenge! Stay tuned for the outcome!
