Soldotna Rotarians, joined with a couple of Kenai Rotarians, had a work day on September 25, 2021 in the cold, snowy weather to help work on houses for families in the RuralCap program.

In the words of our favorite Rotarian, Leonor: " Rotary in motion- Service above self-getting things done. " She brought to us a project of building due to her own building of relationships with a person who helped her in her time of need. Leonor had computer issues, and the person she took it to for repairs explained how she was a single mom of three working full time. She shared she was a part of the RuralCap program and was having difficulties getting the sweat equity needed due to her busy schedule. Leonor, in her way, sent out the call for help and 13 Rotarians answered! On a snowy, wet, cold Saturday, we came to do what was needed. Overall, 64 hours of sweat equity was used to help this family and allowed our family of Rotary to grow a little tighter!
