The Kenai River Interact Club, sponsored by the Soldotna Rotary Club, joined forces on March 15, 2014 with Zumba enthusiasts to raise over $1,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Alaska Chapter.

Harmony Curtis, a local Zumba instructor, with her Soldotna Rotary twin, Melody Niichel, brought the idea of a Zumbathon to raise awareness and funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Alaska Chapter to the Kenai River Interact Club. Kenai River Interact President, Moira Pyhala, jumped at the chance to bring this idea to the club. Together, they put on an 80's themed Zumbathon with over 50 men, women, and children attending at Skyview High School's gym. Over $1,000 was raised as everyone got their groove on in bright colored neon and enjoyed over $1000 worth of give aways throughout the event.
